Sometimes a hero needs saving

I’ve seen lovers turned into enemies and I’ve seen enemies turned into friends

I’ve seen what should have been the beginning quickly turned into the end

I’ve seen the sweetest of pleasure sadly turning into pain

And I’ve seen days that promised sunshine instead delivering rain

I’ve seen the bravery in love and I’ve seen the cowardice in hate

I’ve seen the mountains of pressure being moved by faith

I’ve seen hearts grow cold and reach degrees below zero

I’ve seen a world full of people that were searching for an hero

I’ve seen pain and suffering I’ve seen lonely children left growing up

I’ve seen them searching for an hero but then that hero wasn’t showing up

I’ve seen the peace that was created through the wars that they fight

I’ve seen a hero in dark but he was searching for the light

I’ve seen the other side to know the grass isn’t green

And I’ve seen some things I just shouldn’t have seen

I’ve stood to face the mirror and there a hero stood waving

And it’s there I’ve seen the truth, sometimes a hero needs saving
